Our recruitment process can vary in length depending on the role, location and number of applicants.
While we aim to respond to all applicants, high volumes of applications for some roles means it can sometimes take us a little longer to review and respond.
If you haven’t heard from us yet, it is likely we are still working through applications.
Rest assured, we will contact you as soon as there is an update or outcome on your application.

Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are unfortunately unable to provide detailed specific feedback to all applicants.
All applications are assessed fairly against the requirements of the position, and we progress candidates whose skills, experience and qualifications most closely meet those requirements.
If you interview for a role and are not successful, we will always provide feedback.

Healius is not a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and we do not provide a nationally recognised formal qualification or certification.
Qualifications such as the Certificate III in Pathology Collection must be completed through TAFE or a private RTO or VET provider external to employment.
We offer a comprehensive onboarding program, including practical and online learning modules, through the Healius Academy for all our collectors.
Internal training empowers our employees to be successful in their roles and ensures the safe operations of our sites, but does not result in a nationally recognised qualification.

For laboratory roles, proximity to the site is assessed on a case‑by‑case basis.
For Collector roles, close proximity to the collection centre is an important part of our rostering model. While we appreciate applicants may be flexible and willing to travel, we generally require candidates to live within:
- 25 km of a metropolitan collection centre, and
- 45 km of a regional collection centre.
This helps to ensure:
- Shifts can be covered at short notice when required
- Employees can travel between sites within reasonable timeframes
- Rosters remain fair and practical for all employees
If you live slightly outside of this radius, you are welcome to apply. We will review your application and assess based on the specific operational requirements of the role.

Healius partners with a number of universities to support practical placements within our medical laboratories as required for course completion.
In most cases, placements are arranged directly through the university course coordinator. Our ability to take on a student placement depends on:
- The course and units of study
- The location
- Our laboratory capacity
- The capacity of senior scientists to provide the appropriate training and mentoring
If your university requires you to arrange a placement yourself, you can email careers@healius.com.au, and we will forward your enquiry to the correct internal team for assessment.
